Caesars Entertainment acquired the racino in 2018.
A casino was opened on the property in 2009, and in 2013 the track took on its current name. History: One of the newer tracks in the country, Indiana Grand Race Course opened in 2001 and was then known as Indiana Downs. In 2019, Indiana Grand conducted 120 days of live racing and offered a total of 35 stakes races worth more than $4.3 million. Racing is held from mid-April through early November, with the Grade 3, $500,000 Indiana Derby for 3-year-olds being the meet’s premier event.
